Carp Baits - Beer Sausage (Öl Korv)

There is a massive range of carp baits available today and they don't come cheap.
I have used a lot different baits over the years, especially when i fished in England.
One bait that i did find very effective was pepperami (öl korv) and carp love them.

I used them a lot in English carp lakes and had some good results.
I am going to try them again this year in Sweden and see if they can produce any carp

They have a lot of oil content and when you cut off bite sized chunks the oil leaks out into the water adding that extra attraction.

How to rig them:

You can rig them the same way as a boilie, on a standard hair rig or any other rig that you use

The photo to the right shows 2 different rig techniques.

Standard Hair rig & stiff rig

They are a little too expensive to bait up with in large quantities but a PVA stringer or mesh bag works great.

Just cut off a few chunks and PVA bag 'em, or thread them on to a stringer. You can even put them in a dynamite stick with some pellets hemp maize etc.

It's worth a try with these baits, dare to be different!
When everyone else is pileing in kilo's of boilies this might just give you the edge on your local carp water.
I know that they do catch carp and once the carp get a taste for these, they will be back for more.

The only problem with this bait is that i have a tendency to eat most of it while waiting for a screamer!

I will be giving the "Old beer sausage" a try this season and the results will be published here on www.screamingdelkims.com
