I decided on Wednesday to fish one night in a quite small lake together with Nicklas from Kungälv.
I arrived to the lake at three o clock in the afternoon; Nicklas were going to arrive one hour later, so I decided to try some stalking. I tackled up my stalking rod and started to walk around the lake. After 30meters sneaking in the high grass I saw a big mirror carp around ten kilos eating from the vegetation in the surface, I put on a big worm on my size 8 Owner-Iseama hook and crawled closer. The fish was maybe 4meters from the shore and I had a strong wind in my face (not the easiest thing for free lining). I waited a while until the wind had calmed down a little and throw out the bait 1meter from the fish tail, but it wouldn’t move and the worm sank to the bottom. I carefully reeled in the bait and tried a new cast. This time the bait landed in eye-level with the fish one meter to the side. After maybe two seconds the great fish turned sharply and went like a submarine towards my worm, in the next moment my worm was gone, I waited one or two seconds and then smack! The fish swam like hell towards the margins ten meters on the other side, I managed to stop it and now it swam from side to side for a long time, after five nervous minutes it finally reached my landing net! Yeaaah! I let the fish recover some strength in the landing net and then carried the beautiful fish to the unhooking matt, I recognized the fish (my friend Tobbe caught it last year). After a couple of pictures on the matt I put the fish in the sack and called Nicklas.
Nicklas arrived happy to the lake forty minutes later; we weighed the fish to 11400g!

11.4kg Mirror Carp
My third fish over 10kilos this year, GREAT!
Then he took some really nice pictures on me and the fish, after releasing the fish we went away for some more stalking. We saw a couple of carp, but they were not interested of our baits.
Later on in the evening a lost a small carp on the surface when the hook pulled out, now it was time to throw out the bolt-rods during the night. Nicklas and I got our rods out and went to sleep around midnight. But nothing happened during the night and we went home the next morning.
