THE SECRET LAKE
I have been searching for carp lakes since I got here in Sweden 8 weeks ago,a guy I work with told me about this place so last week I went down to have a look,
It is supposed to hold carp to about 15 kilos mostly commons and they never get fished for, the guys that fish there fish for the large pike,perch and crucians. they have watched the carp swimming around for years, hooked them a few times and been wiped out..
the lake consists of the main area and 5 decent size bays loads of overhanging trees and snaggy areas the perfect carp lake.
So after a walk round on Thursday I baited up 2 gaps in the reeds leading off the main bay with 3-4 k of expensive Swedish boiles.
3am Saturday couldn't sleep no more so I jumped in the car and headed off. Grabbed 2 rods off my barrow and put one chod rig into each of the gaps with a couple catty's full of maize around each one.
After I stopped jumping around with joy I went to open up my rod bag and this was wrapped round the tip of one rod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It must have been in the corner of my bedroom all week after last weekends session.... shit !!!!!! me pants really don't like snakes lol..after a phone call to the girlfriend and a little googling found out it wasn't toxic (pheww) I let it go in the trees ,Then settled down to some chilling carp angling.
11pm
lost a good fish, took me in and out of the reeds 4-5 times, was a great fight though, hooklink snapped !!!

Grey lady 6 kilo
(the perfect carp fought like a monster in the water laid like a sack of spuds on the mat)
1am
Baghdad 7 kilo
(looked like it had been in the wars on both sides)
3am
Rocky 7.5 kilo (nutter on the mat)
all the fish were in perfect condition with no mouth damage at all, and the curtains still intact. Paradise
Apologies for the self takes (self tier photos) never done them before..
Only 4 days to go and i can get back down there for another 2 nights
