How to do it - Korda Funnelweb System
By Mats "Diver Mats" Larsson

In this article Mats explains how to use the Korda Funnelweb PVA system.
Here is a step by step guide:

Step 1.

What you need is:

A funnelweb system with funnelweb PVA and the compressor.

A bucket

Your chosen mix.

Particles, sweetcorn, Nuts, Boilies, Pellets etc.

Step 2.

Mix your different groundbait mixes together, put in your chosen flavours , you can use most flavours as long as they are NOT water based.
I make small mixes and use the stinky dip oils for dipping boilies and booster sprays.

Step 3.

Mix it all together in a bucket , i use a simple groundbaitmix that i complete with hemp. The hemp dries up in the mix after a few minutes, but dry it off as much as you can before adding in to the mix.

Step 4.

Then i add concentrated powder flavours like caramel, stinky fish etc. These dry powders will soak up any water from the hemp to prevent it from attacking the PVA.
Next i add other particles like beans & peas & sweetcorn.
Also chopped boilies, nuts & pellets etc.

Step 5.

Once everything is added to the mix, give it a good mix together to soak up any water that may remain from the particles.

Leave it to stand for 10 to 15 minutes before the next step.

Step 6.

Then take your funelweb system and fill it with some mix. Then put in some boilies, and then some more mix.

Step 7.

Put the compressor into the tube and press down to form a small sausage.

It is very easy to fill the tube with to much mix, try to keep the sausage to a 4-5 cm long

Step 8.

Then push it out of the end of the tube.
Then pull off some of the PVA mesh off the tube (Fig 1.) and tie 2 overhand knots in it, one on top of the other. (See Fig 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. & 7.)
Then cut the PVA mesh inbetween the 2 knots with a pair of scissors.
(see Fig 8.)

Step 9.

Attaching the Bag

There are different ways of attaching the PVA stick to the rig. The easyiest way is to attach it directly to the hook by just hooking it through the mesh a couple of times.

The second way is by threading it onto the hooklink itself this is not an easy way and works better if you have a Korda Quick link system hooklength.
Clip the rig off and take a stringer needle right through the sausage. Then pull the hooklength back through the center of the sausage and then clip it on again.
Then tuck the hookpoint into the mix through the mesh and tighten it all up.

Point to note:

If you add oil to the mix use the bag straight away.

The oil can soak into the pva mesh and prevent water from soaking in and melting/dissolving it.
