Ybbarpssjön:
This lake is the closest to the town of Perstorp and is visited by many anglers through out the season with some overcrowding during the hot summer days. The lake is at an even depth of around 1-1.5metre with an extreme amount of ‘silt’ on the lake bed, It also has 3 Islands and many lily-pad areas. There are many swims on the lake with more and more appearing especially on the Islands (swims 5,6,7) which are being fixed by keen carp anglers trying to find a quiet spot on the lake. (see lake map below)

Sadly during the summer months expect to have many visitors to the lake, sadly as I’ve experienced on to many occasions there are many who fish ‘Ybbarpssjön’ that have little if no respect for the lake rules and fellow fishing addicts close by which can raise the tempers of any carp hunter who’s put time and effort and a large amount of money preparing a swim for fishing. Below are some various pictures of the lake.

Hennrikstorpssjön:
Hennrikstorpssjön is mostly fished by Carp anglers, it is connected to ‘Ybbarpssjön’ by a channel and it has the reputation of being quiet and peacefull, this being due to the remote locations of the swims situated around the lake. There is access to the far side of the lake (swims 11-15) using the dirt road that runs all the way along the south side before passing through the middle of the golf course that’s neighbouring, my opinion is that only the dedicated carp angler will take the effort to fish this lake.
The lake once again is approximately 1-1.5metres deep through-out with ‘floating Islands’ that drift up and down the lake at certain times of the year, other features include several holes on the lake bottom that can be found if you are willing and able to spend the time finding them. As the other lake there are many ‘lily-padded’ areas which grow at a fast rate during the summer months which will cover approximately 80-85% of the lake. Weed and bottom growth in Hennrikstorpssjön is of a greater volume than ‘Ybbarpssjön’ with many sunken trees and tree stubs vacating the lake bed. Below are some various pictures of the lake.

My Tips:
If you’re a carp angler who’s looking for a good chance of action and don’t care about noise then ‘Ybbarpssjön’ would be a safe bet, personally due to being more accessible I’ve found that during weekends mopeds will constantly drive in and out of the lake grounds escorting local youngsters who gather on certain areas to drink, shout and generally party until the early hours which can be most annoying.
I’ve caught several fish in this lake with the biggest being a 12,5Kg Mirror (below)

my tips if fishing Ybbarpssjön are to fish tight to lily pads and to keep the bait tight around the hook bait.
Hennrikstorpssjön is a tough lake, this is due to the fact that its hardly fished when in comparison with ‘ybbarps’, there are many parts of the lake that are private and cant be fished from the bank leaving huge areas for carp to lay undisturbed. The lake hosts many bays up and down both sides which make great spots to fish in, more and more swims are appearing on the lake which some carp anglers (including myself) have taken the time to clear a spot.
My tips for fishing this lake is as before, to fish extremely close to the lily pads and to keep the bait tight around the hook bait, additionally a lot of patience is needed if fishing this lake. I’ve caught several fish on this lake with my biggest being 15,4Kg Common (Swedish PB)(see below)

Conclusion:
Both of these waters contain a good stock of fish with the lake record being 16Kg Common ‘dubbed’ TURBO , expect a long wait but as you have seen putting in the time and effort can have its rewards!
